The Scottish Driver Guides are all qualified to guide throughout the whole of Scotland. Our specialist knowledge enables us to create tours especially tailored to your own particular interests and to suggest accommodation to suit your taste and budget ranging from homely Bed & Breakfasts to luxurious hotels or castles. Tours can vary from a half or full day in cities such as Edinburgh or Glasgow to extended tours of any length. We would be happy to provide a cost quote for your tour at the planning stage and delighted to meet you on arrival at the start of your holiday.
Included:
Vehicle: All costs relating to the vehicle - fuel, insurance etc. All rates quoted are per vehicle, not per person.
Insurance: All vehicles are fully insured with specialist Private Hire or Hire and Reward Insurance to carry paying passengers. The driver guides are insured individually for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity.
Vehicle Insurance: It is required by law and is known as Private Hire or Hire and Reward Insurance. The guides listed as Driver Guides have provided proof that they have this cover. Some insurance policies say “social domestic and pleasure” and include cover for use “in connection with the policy holders business”. This can NOT be interpreted as cover for driver guiding. We will be happy to provide evidence of our insurance cover on request.
Driver Guide: The services of your driver guide throughout, and where relevant, their overnight expenses are included in the tour quote. Their services will generally be available to you for eight hours per day (flexible).
Not included:
Guest Accommodation: This is not included unless by arrangement with the driver guide. We can organize this for you on request.
Ferries, Tolls, Parking: These costs are not included unless by prior arrangement
Entrance Fees to visitor attractions: Not included unless by prior arrangement.
Gratuities: Gratuities are not included but are at clients discretion.
Travel Insurance: This is not included and we would advise you to arrange personal insurance cover before travelling.
Tour Cancellation: Tour cancellation policies vary according to the type of tour booked. Notification of the cancellation policy will be provided prior to booking.
